Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor the development team, providing technical direction and ensuring adherence to coding and architectural standards.
• Team Management: Support, coach, and motivate team members; facilitate collaboration, resolve conflicts, and build a positive team culture.
• Architecture & Design: Define and validate software architecture and design decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Oversee code reviews, testing standards, and continuous integration processes to maintain high code quality.
• Delivery Ownership: Plan, prioritize, and manage sprint activities to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features and enhancements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners, QA, and other squads to align technical work with business priorities and dependencies.
• Problem Solving & Risk Management: Anticipate technical risks, troubleshoot complex issues, and propose sustainable, pragmatic solutions.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine development workflows, tools, and team processes to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Innovation & Technical Growth: Encourage adoption of modern tools, conduct research or proof-of-concepts, and promote a culture of learning.
• Communication & Reporting: Clearly communicate progress, technical challenges, and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years in software development, including 4+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, and Node.js, with strong understanding of both frontend and backend ecosystems.
• Solid experience in AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, etc.) and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline).
• Architecture & Design: Strong grasp of microservices, API design, and scalable system architecture.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience or strong interest in the investment, securities, or financial services industry is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Mindset: Pragmatic problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering business value through technology.
