Entry-Level Analyst - DevSecOps (Generalist)

Overview

The Entry-Level DevSecOps Analyst will support the integration of development, operations, and security practices throughout the software lifecycle. This role is ideal for candidates interested in automation, cloud, continuous delivery, and collaborative IT environments, offering hands-on experience with modern DevSecOps tools and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Support CI/CD Pipeline Operations

Assist in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Automate build, test, and deployment processes for applications and infrastructure.

Monitor pipeline performance and resolve issues to ensure smooth delivery cycles.

Cloud and Infrastructure Management

Help provision, configure, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using tools such as AWS.

Support infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Participate in resource monitoring, scaling, and routine maintenance activities.

Automation and Scripting

Write and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks and system operations.

Contribute to the development of automated workflows for application deployment and environment setup.

Collaboration and Team Support

Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Participate in team meetings to discuss requirements, progress, and challenges.

Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Monitoring and Incident Response

Assist in setting up and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for applications and infrastructure.

Support incident response activities, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.

Document incidents, solutions, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Documentation and Best Practices

Maintain clear documentation for pipeline configurations, infrastructure setups, and troubleshooting steps.

Contribute to the development and updating of standard operating procedures and best practice guides.

Stay current with DevOps and DevSecOps trends, tools, and methodologies.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Basic understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and version control (e.g., Git).

Exposure to automation tools and infrastructure as code is a plus.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and DevSecOps practices.
