Human ResourcesRoles & Responsibilities:
• \tResponsible for the administration and maintenance of Linux servers, RedHat Virtualization and Ansible, to
• \tProvide day-to-day systems administration and operations, including 24 x 7 standby
• \tPlan and perform installation, configuration and migration of OS and related hardware and software
• \tPlan and perform scheduled preventive maintenance, OS patching/upgrades/hardening, after-office hours
• \tTroubleshoot incidents, system problems and handle escalations to vendors
• \tProvide system performance tuning, optimization and capacity planning
• \tAutomate tasks and workflows, through shell, Ansible, Python, Ruby scripts and programming, including provisioning / deprovisioning of Virtual Machines (VMs), patching, configurations, software deployment, monitoring and integration with other tools
• \tEstablish, standardize and maintain systems backup that is in line with recovery strategy
• \tEstablish, standardize and maintain best practice processes, procedures, system documentation and reports so as to streamline and enhance the operational environment
• \tProvide technical support and advice for projects
• \tFulfil service requests and change requests
• \tProactively contribute to continual improvement programs
• \tWork/collaborate with other teams and vendors, where applicable
• \tProvide progress reports and to escalate issues to supervisor
• \tWork with various teams (VMWare, NetBackup, & hardware) as needed to support the infrastructure.
• \tKeep abreast of new technologies and its applicability to their area of work
Requirements/ Qualifications:
• \tBachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalen
• \tAt least 6 years' experience in the administration of Linux Servers in an enterprise environment
• \tStrong technical knowledge and experience in administration and maintenance of Linux(RedHat Linux/SUSE/CentOS) including:
o\tClustering (Pacemaker cluster)
o\tOracle KVM (oVirt)
o\tOpenshift knowledge
o\tAnsible automation platform with ability to write playbooks
o\t Storage Admin/SAN technology, in particular, from System perspective
o\t System and network security, including use of RBAC
o\tSSH/SFTP/SSL
o\tDR implementation
o\tShell Scripting (Unix shell) Ansible, Python and/or Ruby will be an added advantage
• \tCertifications in the above administration skills will be an added advantage
• \tExperience in project management, design and deployment of IT infrastructure solution will be an added advantage
• \tAbility to prioritize assignments while working on multiple projects
• \tGood security, audit, and compliance knowledge
• \tGood team player who is highly motivated, independent, goal oriented and possesses workplace initiative
• \t Good interpersonal, communications and presentation skills (verbal/written)
• \t Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with attention to details
