Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, skilled in VMware, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Veeam Backup & Replication. The role requires strong technical expertise to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of core IT systems.

Mandatory Skill-set

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in systems and server administration;
• Must have strong knowledge of VMware vCenter and virtual machine management (deployment, configuration, optimization);
• Must have experience with Windows Server and Linux administration;
• Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication (setup, monitoring, recovery testing);
• In-depth understanding of Active Directory (user/group management, policies, domain services);
• Solid troubleshooting skills across server, storage, and system platforms;
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Desired Skill-set

• Prior experience in a technical lead role (guiding small teams, handling projects);
• Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Veeam Certified Engineer;
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for hybrid integration;
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting for automation;
• Exposure to storage management and system monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain VMware environments including vCenter, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines;
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance;
• Oversee Active Directory administration including user provisioning, security groups, and GPOs;
• Implement and manage Veeam backup solutions, including regular testing of recovery processes;
• Monitor, patch, and secure servers to ensure compliance with organizational standards;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT operations, upgrades, and migrations;
• Document configurations, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing;
• Lead or support infrastructure projects, migrations, and system enhancements;
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers when needed.
