Position Summary:
The HR Director will be a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, responsible for leading all human capital initiatives that drive organizational growth, performance, and employee engagement in a highly regulated MedTech CDMO environment. This role is critical in aligning HR strategies with the company's value creation plan, supporting rapid scale-up, ensuring compliance, and fostering a high-performance culture that supports operational excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic HR Leadership
Partner with the CEO, senior leadership, and private equity stakeholders to develop and execute a people strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and value creation plan. Serve as an active member of the leadership team, providing HR insight in strategic discussions and decision-making. Lead organizational design initiatives to support scalability, operational efficiency, and post-merger integration (if applicable).
• Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Oversee recruitment strategy to attract top-tier talent across engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions. Lead annual manpower planning, workforce scheduling, and succession planning to ensure the right talent is in place at the right time.
• Talent Management & Development
Implement leadership development, technical training, and high-potential programs to build future leadership capacity. Develop a robust Learning & Development framework tailored to MedTech regulatory and operational requirements. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
• Compensation, Benefits & Rewards
Oversee total rewards strategy, including salary structures, incentive programs, retention plans, and benefits, ensuring competitiveness in the MedTech market. Lead annual performance appraisal and bonus processes.
• Employee Engagement & Culture
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and retention in a manufacturing and R&D environment. Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers to address workplace concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote positive employee relations.
• Regulatory Compliance & HR Governance
Ensure compliance with Singapore Employment Act, international labor laws (for overseas operations), ISO 13485 requirements, and other relevant regulations. Act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the organization, ensuring compliance with PDPA. Negotiate and manage union relations, including Collective Agreement discussions.
• Change Management & Organizational Projects
Support senior management through organizational change initiatives, including communication planning, cultural integration, and managing ground sentiment. Lead HR-related projects such as system upgrades, policy reviews, and external audits involving HR functions.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced HR certifications preferred.
• Minimum 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in manufacturing, MedTech, life sciences or relevant industries.
• Proven experience in private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation environments.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, Singapore Employment Act, and international HR compliance.
• Demonstrated success in building scalable HR infrastructure and driving organizational change.
• Experience in union management and collective bargaining preferred.
