Role Overview

As a Consultant at Cain Partners, you will work directly with CFOs, founders, and investment managers to solve high-impact financial and strategic problems. You will be involved in project delivery, financial analysis, client communication, and execution support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to accelerate their career in finance, consulting, or entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Advisory: Build and review financial models, investor decks, capital budgets, business plans, and board packs.
• Client Support: Assist in delivering advisory projects in areas such as fundraising, M&A, performance improvement, and strategic planning.
• Transaction Execution: Support due diligence, market research, investor outreach, and deal documentation.
• Operational Finance: Implement systems and processes (e.g., Xero, Dynamics, Power BI), and work with clients' internal teams to improve reporting, cash flow, and budgeting.
• Stakeholder Communication: Prepare clear and concise deliverables, reports, and recommendations for senior executives, investors, and boards.
• Firm Building: Contribute to internal process improvement, knowledge creation, and brand development at Cain Partners.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 2-5 years' experience in finance, consulting, investment, or accounting roles
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills (Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools is a plus)
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with incomplete information
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Curious, self-driven, and willing to learn across multiple sectors
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
