This role is based at I Can Read and Oodles Learning centre in Toa Payoh Central. We are looking for a warm, organised, and customer-focused Assistant Centre Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our learning centre. This role combines service excellence, centre operations, and enrolment support, working closely with the Director to create a welcoming and structured environment for children and their families.

We are looking for a warm, organised, and customer-focused Assistant Centre Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our learning centre. This role combines service excellence, centre operations, and enrolment support, working closely with the Director to create a welcoming and structured environment for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Sales
- Provide quality customer service through understanding parent needs and guiding them through our programmes
- Handle walk-in, phone, and digital enquiries in a warm and professional manner
- Support student enrolment by explaining programme offerings, booking assessments, and following up on leads
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with parents where necessary
Centre Operations
- Manage daily front desk and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain accuracy of the student management system (enrolments, assessments, withdrawals)
- Oversee petty cash, inventory (stationery, student materials), and general centre upkeep
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards
- Safeguard the wellbeing and safety of all students while on site
- Support coordination of teacher schedules and class arrangements
Team & Reporting
- Assist the Director with reporting student activity and operational data to HQ
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members where needed
- Escalate urgent or complex issues in a timely manner
What We're Looking For
- Min. 1-2 years of relevant experience in customer service, education, hospitality, or a similar customer-focused role
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
- Warm, proactive, and enjoys working with families and children
- Comfortable with basic digital tools (Microsoft Office, CRM/ERP systems)
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a calm and friendly approach
Working Hours
- Wednesday to Friday: 1pm - 9pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 9am - 6.30pm
- (Monday & Tuesday off)
