Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 13 years of hands-on experience in AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security. This role is critical for designing, building, and securing scalable cloud environments in line with best practices and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage highly available and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and OCI.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation Templates and Terraform.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab CI/CD and Nexus Repository for automated deployments.
• Implement and enhance cloud security controls, including PrismaCloud CSPM and CWPP, IAM, and compliance with security best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices across the organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 13 years of hands-on experience with AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, services (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VCN, OCI Compute), and networking concepts.
• Proficient in AWS CloudFormation Templates and Terraform for IaC.
• Experience deploying and managing containers using AWS ECS and EKS.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, OCI Monitoring, or Grafana.
• Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD and Nexus Repository.
• Hands-on experience with PrismaCloud CSPM and CWPP, and strong understanding of IAM (AWS and OCI).
• Solid knowledge of cloud security pillars and security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Must hold at least one relevant cloud certification, such as:
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate
- AWS Security Specialty
- AWS Certified Developer Associate
- OCI Cloud Operations Associate
Preferred Qualifications:
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or OCI Architect Professional certification.
• Experience working in a regulated or financial services environment.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Experience with additional DevOps tools and automation frameworks.
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
