Risk and Operation Analyst Intern

The work is foundational, operationally intensive, not so market facing and often repetitive - but it is essential to the integrity of our investment and risk processes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, process-oriented, and finds satisfaction in executing tasks reliably and improving workflows. You should have a strong attention to detail, a willingness to handle tedious or manual tasks, and an interest in learning how to make operations more efficient through automation or scripting (training will be provided).

Responsibilities

• \tWork closely with various teams: trading, operations, financial modelling to ensure processes in place keep the firm's risk exposure on different fronts to the minimum

• \tMonitor trading activities and open positions to ensure traders adhere to risk parameters

• \tReconcile and validate traders' records & P&L with statements from clearing brokers and highlight discrepancies daily

• \tHighlight potential risks of the existing portfolio to management and traders

• \tImplement risk framework for new products and review existing framework to adapt to the changing market conditions

• \tCoordinate with technology and quant teams to improve and develop tools/platforms to assess risk efficiently

Requirements

• \tHave education or working background in Finance, Economics, or other related field.

• \tComfortable with and committed to handling routine, operational, and administrative tasks, especially those others may overlook.

• \tMeticulous, dependable, and consistent in execution, even when the work is repetitive.

• \tWilling to be trained in basic coding/scripting (e.g., Excel VBA, Python) to help improve operational processes over time.
