Started in 1998 as a non-profit organisation, the Restroom Association (Singapore), which is also a charity and IPC, is dedicated to building an excellent restroom culture by actively engaging owners, the cleaning industry and users to play their part. This position requires the person to report to the Board and oversee the organisation to ensure its mission is fulfilled.

Started in 1998 as a non-profit organisation, the Restroom Association (Singapore), which is also a charity and IPC, is dedicated to building an excellent restroom culture by actively engaging owners, the cleaning industry and users to play their part. This position requires the person to report to the Board and oversee the organisation to ensure its mission is fulfilled.
The job scope covers the following:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with the Code of Governance for Charities and IPC
- Prepare annual workplan with budget and monitor its progress and expenditure
- Plan, strategize, manage and execute events such as award ceremony and campaigns by working closely with partners
- Oversee and execute both preschool and school programmes such as conducting talks and training workshops for children
- Conduct training on toilet design and maintenance for professionals
- Handle all media matters including writing media releases, speeches, toilet audit reports, annual reports, e-newsletters, web & social media content and other communication materials
- Write and submit proposals for grants including report submissions for grant reimbursements
- Submit annual returns to the Registry of Societies and Commissioner of Charities.
- Manage and update website contents
- Any other ad-hoc projects
Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Degree qualifications preferably in Public Relations & Communications. The diploma will be considered for those with at least 8 years of relevant experience in a charity
- Other qualifications such as a certificate in training an asset
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a charity
- Prior experience in a supervisory role is an asset
Knowledge/skills
- Good networking skills including the ability to communicate in Mandarin with cleaning attendants
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel for report analysis and PowerPoint for presentation
- Use of Microsoft Teams to conduct talks and workshops
- IT savvy including website management, simple html coding and designing such as Photoshop or other designing software is an asset
