Our client, a leader in the oil & gas industry, is looking for a Junior Risk Analyst to join their team. This role combines responsibilities across three key areas: Market Risk, Credit Risk and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify daily forward curves and settlement prices using data from journals, brokers, and third-party information providers
• Input, validate, and reconcile both physical and paper trades based on trade recaps, statements, and entries in the CTRM system
• Produce daily P&L figures, ensuring consistency with market fluctuations and related costs or revenues
• Compile and distribute daily Position and P&L reports to the trading team
• Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams to update physical movement data, product quality, and cost elements
• Support management with the preparation of ad-hoc reports as required
• Manage onboarding of new counterparties (e.g. vendors, customers, brokers, vessel charterers) in line with internal credit procedures
• Contribute to the timely completion of compliance-related reporting tasks

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong team player, comfortable working across different departments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Confident in Microsoft Excel and general IT tools
• Ideally numerically inclined, with a background or interest in energy trading
• Basic understanding of financial statements and balance sheet analysis
