PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

F&B Operations
  • Lead the F&B Operations Team to develop and maintain a high-performing team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest service
  • Oversee departmental operations to achieve positive financial outcomes
  • Manage and supervise the Banquet administration to guarantee seamless operations
  • Equip with the necessary instincts to manage the situation in times of contingency e.g. when the aircon chiller is unserviceable, managing rowdy guests, etc
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of operational procedures and present strategic improvements to the Deputy General Manager/ Head of Department
  • Rigorously monitor work performance and presentation of subordinates, delegating responsibilities as appropriate
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of products, menus, and equipment
  • Facilitate effective communication between Kitchen and Bar for daily Banquet Operations
  • Represent the department at weekly meetings
  • Conduct operational briefings for the Banquet staff
  • Assist in the meticulous calculation of casual labour & contract staff costs
  • Support the Deputy General Manager/ Head of Department in analysing daily revenue and cost reports with precision
  • Enforce all pre-check and check control procedures across all areas, ensuring compliance with the latest updates
  • Vigilantly monitor the quality and timely service of all Banquet items
  • Maintain professional and effective communication channels with all departments
  • Provide regular, comprehensive updates to the Deputy General Manager/ Head of Department on all matters of departmental significance

Training, Development & Grooming
  • Analyses training needs of employees and work with Human Resources on the development. Establish a training culture to ensure succession planning and a culture that exceeds the best of what we can offer
  • Observes all personnel for job adherence, personnel grooming and appearance and efficiency
  • He will be expected to provide a constant leadership counseling and feedback to their peers. He must be able to make tough decisions, provide an environment of openness and trust with constant feedback and performance coaching when the need arises

Hygiene & Workplace Safety Standards
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Hygiene and Safety legislation requirements. This includes the Workplace Safety standards

Requirements:
  • G.C.E. 'N'/'O' Levels and above
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Customer oriented and good communication skills with a can-do attitude
  • Hands on with good planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, supervise and work cohesively with a team of service staff
  • Cheerful and team player with a positive attitude
  • Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
