About The Role

The RubberWay team is looking for an Operations Analyst to support the deployment of the RubberWay Geo-Mapping tool.

As an Operations Analyst, you will work closely with:

• natural rubber processors from the major sourcing countries to support the usage of the RubberWay Geo-Mapping solution in each processors' supply chain.
• IT Service provider. You will act as an interface between the users and the IT provider.

You will report to the Product Manager, and work along with a small team of other colleagues to implement the usage of RubberWay Geo-Mapping.

Main Responsibilities

1. Database management

a) Design, implement, and maintain relational databases to ensure data integrity and availability, on platforms such as Google BigQuery

b) Develop and execute queries and scripts for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting

c) Ensure consistent database performance by optimizing efficiency and implementing procedures.

2. Data analysis

a) Collect, analyse, and process data from natural rubber processors and other sources to ensure data quality (e.g. invalid polygon geometries)

b) Ensure that relevant compliance checks (e.g. geospatial deforestation analysis) have been completed accurately

3. User engagement

a) Liaise with natural rubber processors to follow up on data analysis performed

4. Development of dashboard

a) Create dashboards and visualisations on platforms such as Tableau

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, or any relevant field
• 1-2 years' experience required (including internships). Prior experience in agricultural commodities or agriculture technology is a plus.

Required hard skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and database management
• Experience with QGIS or other geospatial analytics software
• Strong Excel skills

Preferred hard skills:

• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses e.g. Google BigQuery
• Python
• Tableau

Soft skills:

• Attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Autonomous and proactive.
• Project management, able to handle multiple priorities.
• Creative, able to suggest new ideas to optimise workflow.
