Job Title: Logistics Operations Analyst

Reports To: VP, Operations

Basic Salary: up to SGD 6,750 per month

Working pattern: 45 hours per week, 9am until 6pm, in office full time, 25 days annual holiday allowance (excl. public holidays).

This Logistics Operations role is responsible for the reconciliation, confirmation and settlement of commodity products, along with providing Logistical support to the chartering and freight trading desks.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Trade Validation

- Liaise with the Trading and Logistics teams in London, New York & Singapore to promptly resolve queries and trade discrepancies.

- Efficiently monitors system for, and investigates accordingly, anomalies in trade bookings to ensure accurate contracting and PnL reporting.

2. Trade Contracts

- Drafts, review, and finalise physical and financial sale and purchase agreements, as well as framework agreements for a wide variety of bulk commodity products.

- Utilise knowledge of the specific Incoterms used within commodity trading, international logistics and shipping, and testing standards in Javelin products/deals.

- Collaborate with the Trading and Logistics teams in London, New York & Singapore to resolve queries and discrepancies, resulting in solutions being implemented.

3. Trade Support

- Reconcile OTC and Exchange-Traded positions with specialised knowledge of how derivative trading works in practice and across Javelin's multiple agreements with counterparts and bespoke parameters.

4. Logistic Operations

- Review shipping documentation such as Charterparties, ensuring that they accurately reflect commercial terms agreed by the Freight Trading Team.

- Ensure logistics data is booked correctly in Javelin's propriety risk system.

5. Client Service

- Utilise excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when liaising and assisting clients.

- Working with clients to resolve operational disputes, using sound judgement to balance client's needs with the Javelin's interests, maintaining strong relationships.

Key Qualifications:

- A relevant STEM Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university (Master's degree preferred).

- Knowledge and understanding of commercial deal terms, risk & title and Incoterms

- Strong understanding of shipping documents, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices

- and letters of credit

- In-depth knowledge of bulk commodity products, specifically Iron Ore, Coal and Oil

- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in risk management systems and software.

- Proactive, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
