Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation and Delivery Management:Plan and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, shipping, and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. - Inventory and Warehouse Management:Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and availability of stock.
Oversee warehouse operations, including storage optimization, packing, and order fulfillment. - Supply Chain Coordination:Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, production) to align logistics activities with company goals. - Compliance and Documentation:Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, customs declarations, and other necessary records.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including safety and environmental standards. - Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
Generate regular reports on logistics activities, delivery performance, and inventory status. - Problem Resolution:Address and resolve logistics issues such as delivery delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.
Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks in the supply chain.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Technical Skills:Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, WMS, or TMS).
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation requirements. - Soft Skills:Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related roles.
- Prior experience in the industry relevant to the company (e.g., Marine, Construction, Oil & Gas) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional travel to warehouses, ports, or suppliers' locations.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods or in response to emergencies.
