Position Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our furniture company's warehouse team. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and grow in a warehouse management position. This position involves in managing warehouse operations, maintaining equipment, optimizing processes, and ensuring the safe and efficient flow of furniture products.

Additionally, this position requires frequent travel to our factories in Malaysia and Indonesia to coordinate operations and ensure smooth logistics across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Operations: Assist in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping furniture products.
• Mechanical Support: Utilize your mechanical engineering knowledge to help maintain and troubleshoot warehouse equipment such as forklifts, shelving systems, and conveyors.
• Inventory Management: Support inventory tracking and ensure furniture is stored properly, making sure orders are ready for shipment.
• Process Improvement: Learn and contribute to identifying and implementing improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, storage solutions, and product handling.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety procedures and ensure all warehouse staff adhere to safety standards, especially when handling heavy furniture items and using machinery.
• Team Support: Assist in the coordination and supervision of warehouse staff, helping to train new employees and ensure smooth operations.
• Logistics Coordination: Support the logistics team in coordinating timely deliveries and shipments of furniture to customers.
• Frequent Travel: Travel regularly to our factories in Malaysia and Indonesia to work closely with the production teams, ensure quality control, monitor manufacturing processes, and streamline the supply chain between factories and warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Skills:
  Basic understanding of mechanical systems, with the ability to learn and apply new concepts in warehouse machinery and equipment maintenance.
  Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  Organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
