BAWA is recruiting a versatile, well-rounded staff member to live in Bali and manage its animal shelters and field programs for dogs, increasing the number of animals BAWA helps and improving the quality of care for animals, and achieving program objectives.
This is a short-term position, preferably starting with a six-month commitment which may be extended or converted to a permanent position. Shorter periods of time will also be considered for the right candidate.
This position will report to the Director/Founder.
The job is located in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
While full-time employment is preferred, BAWA is open to part-time as well.

Responsibilities
- Manage BAWA’s shelters and rehabilitation center for dogs and cats in Bali, following international best practices in animal sheltering and ensuring excellent care
- Manage BAWA’s field programs including canine sterilization, street feeding, and community engagement
- Create and update policies and procedures for the programs, in collaboration with the Director/Founder, and ensure they are implemented
- Motivate and inspire program staff to excel
- Fill other roles and complete tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in the management of animal shelters
- Strong spoken communication skills in English and Indonesian
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and ensure high-priority tasks are completed within deadlines
- Experience managing teams of staff and motivating them to perform at a high level
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A veterinary background is a plus

These programs are supported by educational outreach to schools, universities and villages, as well as individuals.
