We are a growing event Audio Visual and Lighting equipment rental and event production company operating in a fast-paced logistics environment. We are looking for a practical Operations Manager to oversee scheduling, warehouse coordination and daily operational control.

This role suits candidates from logistics, facilities, cleaning services or industrial operations backgrounds who are comfortable directing crews and keeping execution organized under constant change.

This is not a creative events role. This is an operational coordination and control role. The role is primarily warehouse and scheduling based, with occasional on-site supervision when required.

You will be responsible for keeping daily operations running smoothly while making real-time decisions when plans change.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily delivery, setup and teardown schedules
• Assign crew timings and manpower deployment
• Manage last-minute changes and urgent operational issues
• Resolve customer escalations relating to schedules or rental discrepancies
• Act as the main operational decision-maker between office teams and warehouse crew
• Maintain operational calendars to ensure schedules, equipment and manpower are accurate
• Ensure upcoming jobs are reviewed in advance so crews are prepared and no last-minute surprises occur
• Coordinate closely with customer service and admin teams to ensure smooth job execution
• Plan crew schedules efficiently to balance workload and avoid unnecessary overtime
• Enforce SOPs and maintain discipline in operational workflows
• Identify areas for simplification and process improvement
• Keep operations organized during peak periods
• Occasional on-site supervision may be required during major deployments or peak periods

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, warehouse or industrial environments
• Experience managing crews or manpower scheduling
• Comfortable directing teams and enforcing standards
• Mature, steady personality; not easily flustered
• Strong decision-making under pressure
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Able to handle constant change and last-minute adjustments
• Experience in SME or fast-paced environments preferred
• Basic computer skills (scheduling tools, messaging, tracking)
  
  Role requires independent decision-making, clear communication and the ability to manage multiple moving schedules without supervision.
  
  Must be comfortable reading schedules, writing clear instructions and coordinating multiple teams daily.
  
  This role is suited for candidates who are calm under pressure and able to resolve problems without constant escalation.
  
  Requires high attention to detail. Errors in scheduling affect real operations.

Formal degree is not required. Practical experience matters more.
