Logistics Planner (Parcel Operations & Relief Driver)

UrbanXpress is a dedicated last-mile delivery subcontractor providing parcel distribution services across Singapore. We manage assigned delivery zones, fleet deployment, and manpower operations to ensure timely and efficient parcel delivery in partnership with major logistics providers.

We are looking for a hands-on and performance-driven Logistics Planner to oversee daily planning and support ground operations when required.

Job Summary

The Logistics Planner is responsible for planning daily parcel distribution, coordinating fleet and manpower deployment, monitoring delivery performance, and ensuring service level targets are met. This role requires both strategic planning ability and operational readiness to step in as a relief driver when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

1⃣ Daily Parcel Planning & Zone Allocation

• Allocate parcels based on assigned delivery zones and driver capacity
• Balance workload to prevent overload or underutilization
• Monitor volume trends (XS, S/M/L, XL, bulky items)
• Ensure parcels are cleared within SLA timelines

2⃣ Fleet & Manpower Deployment

• Schedule vans and drivers efficiently
• Arrange backup drivers during absenteeism
• Coordinate subcontractor drivers and temporary manpower
• Minimize overtime and optimize route efficiency

3⃣ Relief Driver Support (Mandatory)

• Act as relief driver during manpower shortages or surge volumes
• Perform last-mile parcel delivery to maintain service levels
• Ensure scanning compliance and POD accuracy
• Support urgent rescue deployments when required

4⃣ Performance & KPI Monitoring

• Track daily delivery performance and backlog percentage
• Maintain low failed delivery rate
• Ensure compliance with operational KPIs
• Identify operational gaps and implement improvements

5⃣ Operational Coordination

• Liaise with consolidators and warehouse teams
• Handle parcel escalations and urgent issues
• Monitor system updates and delivery status accuracy

6⃣ Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports
• Forecast manpower requirements based on volume trends
• Support management in cost and performance analysis

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in parcel delivery or last-mile logistics
• Experience in route planning or fleet coordination preferred
• Hands-on delivery experience is required

License Requirement

• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence (mandatory)
• Confident in driving vans / light commercial vehicles

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong operational problem-solving skills
• Able to work in fast-paced logistics environment
• Good communication skills
