Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring service quality and working with Area Managers to support the outlets in delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role is expected to undergo hands-on training in outlets to understand business and kitchen operations and must pass the internal Chef Level 1 exams within 3 months of commencement.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring service quality and working with Area Managers to support the outlets in delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role is expected to undergo hands-on training in outlets to understand business and kitchen operations and must pass the internal Chef Level 1 exams within 3 months of commencement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of dine-in restaurants, ensuring smooth service and compliance with SOPs
- Mentor and coach Area Managers, guiding them in operational excellence, leadership skills and problem-solving
- Communicate business and zone objectives to Area Managers, leading them to achieve and fulfill required KPIs
- Provide ongoing training, feedback and support to Area Managers to strengthen their capabilities and performance
- Train Area Managers in managing P&L, reporting trends and conducting performance analysis
- Monitor industry trends, conduct competitor analysis and stay abreast of local market developments
- Plan for succession by identifying high-potential (HIPO) employees for development and growth
- Undergo structured training in outlets to gain in-depth knowledge of kitchen and service operations
- Pass the internal Chef Level 1 exams within 3 months to demonstrate operational competency
- Monitor customer satisfaction, resolve complaints and implement service improvement initiatives
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Create a positive environment that results in stable retention and a reduction of labour turnover
- Collaborate with Head of Operations on strategic initiatives and reporting to align restaurants operations with overall business goals
- Any other duties/projects assigned by Head of Operations
Requirements:
- Prior experience in restaurant operations management
- Strong knowledge of F&B service standards and kitchen operations
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Willing to undergo training at the outlets and pass internal Chef Level 1 exam
