Key Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Evaluation
  • Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities
  • Lead initial screening, financial analysis, and investment thesis development
  • Prepare and present investment memoranda to the Investment Committee

Transaction Execution
  • Lead financial modelling, valuation, and return analysis
  • Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, including legal, accounting, tax, commercial, and operational workstreams
  • Work closely with external advisors (investment banks, consultants, legal counsel, tax advisor)
  • Support negotiation of transaction terms, financing structures, and purchase agreements

Portfolio Management
  • Serve as a key liaison with portfolio company executives
  • Actively monitor portfolio company performance against investment plans
  • Partner with management teams to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and add-on acquisitions
  • Analyze financial results, KPIs, and market trends; prepare portfolio review materials
  • Support exit planning and execution

Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Associates and Analysts
  • Review and provide feedback on financial models, analyses, and investment materials

Stakeholder Interaction
  • Support in the review, analysis and critique of various financials, investors, and update reports to be sent to both internal and external stakeholders of the company/group
  • Proficiency in verbal and written Mongolian language essential as several portfolio companies are in Mongolia

Qualifications & Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred)

Experience
  • 10-15+ years of relevant experience in global multi assets investment firm, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or related fields in Mongolia
  • Demonstrated experience leading deal execution and managing junior team members

Technical Skills
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise
  • Strong understanding of capital structures, debt financing, and transaction mechanics
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to independently drive complex workstreams and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities
