Job Summary

Deegit Asia seeks a Techno-functional Avaloq Developer / Business Analyst with 5 to 7 years of experience to lead Avaloq Core Banking System development, customization, and integration projects, driving innovation and operational excellence in financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Avaloq Core Banking System modules, including Payments, Securities, Treasury, Risk, Lending, and Credit/MM, to meet business requirements and enhance system functionality
• Design and implement Avaloq scripting (AQL), PL/SQL, and Oracle database solutions to optimize banking operations and reporting
• Configure Avaloq parameters, develop reports, and establish business rules to support wealth management and private banking processes
• Analyze business needs as a Business Analyst to translate requirements into technical specifications and system enhancements
• Lead system integration and API development using RESTful APIs, Avaloq Adapter Framework (AAF), or middleware technologies to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability
• Execute ETL, data migration, and data transformation tasks to maintain data integrity and support system upgrades
• Apply DevOps practices by managing CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git, Bitbucket), and cloud-based deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP to accelerate delivery cycles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments using Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently
• Monitor and incorporate regulatory reporting, risk management, and compliance requirements (MAS, IFRS, Basel III) into system configurations and processes
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations, resolve issues, and drive project success
• Work independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges proactively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) certification
• Prior experience in financial institutions, fintech, or consulting firms
• Programming skills in Java, Python, or other languages to support additional development tasks
• Exposure to machine learning, AI, or automation tools applied in banking environments
• Familiarity with cloud-native development and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
