Job Responsibilities:

The role of the department manager is responsible for leading and managing the department to achieve operational, financial, and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards. It focuses on driving business growth, maintaining high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence. The position requires strong leadership, effective planning, and the ability to balance business development with day-to-day operational oversight.

• Manage the department to achieve its assigned goals and ensure compliance to safety, security and established policies and regulations
• Formulate strategies to grow the business and market share
• Direct and oversee operations staff to ensure that they are motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure that operational functions meet assigned objectives
• Monitor and improve team performance, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management
• Ensure all audits requirements are met, including ISO 9001, 14000, etc.
• Ensure all contractual KPIs and requirements are met
• Responsible for meeting department's P&L targets and order book pipeline

Working Hours:

• Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm

Salary:

• $5,000 - $6,000

Location:

• Tuas Naval Base

Requirements:

• A degree preferably related to engineering
• Operations management experience with MRO industry experience would be an advantage
• Good organizational and leadership abilities
• Good communication and people management skills
