Summary
  • As the Regional General Manager, he/she will be responsible for the sales of linear motion products, mainly linear motion guides, ball screw, actuator across South Asean and Oceania.
  • Based on global policies, the role support and executes regional strategy planning, strengthen and expand the sales organization and build strong relationships with key customers.
  • The position will lead sustainable business growth in close collaboration with the Japan headquarter.

Responsibilities

(1) Sales strategy and business development
  • Support and execute sales strategies for Southeast Asia and Oceania regions to achieve sales targets.
  • Report market trends and competitive analysis for each country to Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and proactively lead the developing of new customers and exploring of new markets ahead of your team.
  • Propose sales strategies and value-added initiatives based on insights gathered on our strengths, weaknesses, competitor information, reporting to DMD, and actively drive execution in the field.
  • Strengthen engagement with key industrial sectors such as semiconductors, automation equipment, and machine tools.

(2) Regional sales management
  • Lead and support sales activities of branch offices and distributors in South Asean (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia) and Oceania (Australia, New Zealand) in accordance with company policies, striving to improve sales efficiency and customer satisfaction to maximize revenue.
  • Proactively engage in customer negotiations and establish internal management systems to build a supply framework based on customer forecasts and production plans.
  • Open and expand accounts with major local and multinational companies, build strong networks with key decision-makers, and work to increase sales and market share.
  • For multinational companies, collaborate closely with THK teams in their home countries, gather information from a Southeast Asia perspective, and work to maximize revenue and expand market share within target companies.

(3) Human resource development and organizational management
  • Execute recruitment and talent development in line with company policies, and ensuring optimal placement of personnel.
  • Work with senior management to set goals and promote coaching that supports members' career paths.
  • Utilize Salesforce to plan sales activities, manage progress, conduct reviews, analyze issues, and provide coaching.
  • Negotiate delivery schedules for urgent orders and prototypes with headquarters and factories to secure timelines for target and key customers.

(4) Handling Defects, and Risk Management
  • Execute risk management and coordinate internally and externally in response to claims and product defects.
  • Ensure a balance between maximizing profits , risks management and implement measures to prevent potential risks.

(5) Strategy Development and Flexibility
  • Understand the historical and cultural background of each country and region, to formulate and execute bothshort-term and mid-to-long-term strategies.
  • Engage in negotiations with customers and establish internal management systems to realize a supply framework aligned with customer forecasts and production schedules.
  • Clearly communicate strategies and vision to team members to inspire motivation and alignment.
  • Promote product development by materializing product specifications based on non-standard customer requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, ora related field is preferred.

( 1 ) Work experience
  • Over 20 years of sales experience in industrial products, including more than 15 years in linear motion productssuch as linear guides, ball screws, and actuators.
  • Have experience in sales across multiple countries in Asia or globally (experience in Europe or the U.S. ishighly desirable).
  • More than 5 years of sales experience with multinational companies.
  • Extensive network of customer contacts in key industries such as machine tools, semiconductors, and industrial robots.
  • Have experience in planning and executing sales activities for related to IoT products.

( 2 ) Language ability
  • English: Fluent in business level or above to be able to communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Japanese: Fluent in business level or above to be able to communicate with counterparts in Japan headquarter.

(3) Other Skills
  • Strong commitment to achieving ambitious goals and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong team management and communication skills.

  • A leader who has both strategic thinking with on-site sensibility.
