Role Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for making sure buildings are well-maintained, safe, and running smoothly. This includes managing maintenance teams, contractors, repairs, cleaning, and overall facility operations.

Main Duties (Simplified)

• Make sure all building services (maintenance, cleaning, security, etc.) run properly.
• Check facilities regularly to ensure everything is in good condition.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Manage external service providers and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Review contracts and look for cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure the facility follows all safety rules and legal requirements.
• Help prepare and manage the FM budget.
• Control costs and ensure resources are used efficiently.
• Supervise technicians and other management staff.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Respond to tenant/client requests and resolve issues quickly.
• Maintain good relationships with building users and management.

Requirement

• Diploma in Construction Productivity (preferred) - shows strong skills in improving efficiency, reducing waste, and managing site operations effectively.
• 5-10 years of experience in facilities operations or maintenance.
• Experience supervising teams and working with contractors.
• Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC).
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and solve problems quickly.
• Knowledge of safety standards.
