  • Store Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily activities to ensure the store runs smoothly, is clean, adequately stocked, and well-organized.
    • Develop, implement, and enforce established daily operating procedures and policies.
    • Manage cash handling procedures, including cash counting and daily cash deposits, and monitor for cash discrepancies.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies and relevant laws/regulations, including food safety and hygiene standards (SFA regulations) and age restrictions for sales (e.g., tobacco sales).
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
    • Manage stock levels, perform regular stock takes, and check for expiring/damaged goods.
    • Liaise and negotiate with local and foreign suppliers for product ordering, replenishment, and timely delivery of goods.
    • Oversee backend logistics, including receiving, unloading, and coordinating delivery of goods.
  • Customer Service & Experience:
    • Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.
    • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
    • Implement promotional setups and ensure merchandise displays are attractive and priced correctly.
  • Sales & Financial Performance:
    • Develop and implement strategies to meet and drive sales targets and revenue growth.
    • Plan and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and increase profitability.
    • Manage e-commerce platforms if applicable.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a minimart, grocery, or supermarket setting, with prior experience in a supervisory or management role.
