Overview

Our client is a premier technology vendor who is searching to secure a highly experienced Solution Architect. This pivotal role is focused on designing and governing the next generation of secure, scalable, and resilient distributed systems. The ideal candidate will combine deep architectural expertise with practical experience across the full technology product lifecycle, from sales engagement to deployment.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software architecture or system design, with 3+ years in event-driven or distributed systems, with demonstrated ownership of large-scale system design.
• Essential: Prior working experience within a technology vendor environment.
• Proven experience supporting both pre-sales activities (e.g., technical presentations, solution scoping) and providing critical architectural guidance during post-sales implementation and scale-up.

Core Technical Competencies

• Event-Driven Architecture (EDA): Proven ability to design and implement scalable, decoupled systems utilizing EDA principles (e.g., Kafka, stream processing).
• Data Transport Security Architecture: Expert knowledge in defining and implementing security mechanisms (encryption, mTLS, authentication) for data in transit across all distributed services.
• Open Standard Protocols: Direct experience leveraging and securing open communication standards, notably MQTT, for efficient message handling in connected environments (e.g., IoT).

Responsibilities (Client-Facing & Architectural)

• Define and lead the technical roadmap and governance for the client's distributed systems.
• Act as a key technical expert to articulate solution value during sales cycles and ensure architectural integrity during deployment and operational phases.
• Translate complex business requirements into high-quality, secure architectural designs suitable for product delivery.
• Provide high-level technical oversight and mentorship to internal engineering teams and external partners.
