Our client is a well-established Asian bank with a dedicated aviation finance platform supporting airlines, lessors, and aircraft manufacturers across Asia-Pacific and Europe. The bank combines regional strength with deep product expertise, offering a range of structured lending and leasing solutions including operating leases, JOLCOs, and portfolio financings.

With an increasing focus on sustainable growth and asset diversification, the aviation finance team plays a critical role in expanding the bank's transport asset franchise globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Origination & Structuring: Lead the origination and structuring of aviation finance transactions, including bilateral loans, JOLCOs, operating leases, and asset-backed facilities. Work closely with clients to develop bespoke solutions that meet their fleet and capital structure needs.
• Client Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen strategic relationships with airlines, lessors, and OEMs across the Asia-Pacific region. Proactively identify new business opportunities and develop long-term partnerships that align with the bank's growth objectives.
• Credit Assessment & Deal Execution: Conduct in-depth financial, technical, and market analysis to assess transaction feasibility. Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, coordinate internal approvals, and drive end-to-end execution in collaboration with risk, legal, and operations teams.
• Portfolio Management & Risk Monitoring: Oversee portfolio performance by tracking asset quality, client exposure, and covenant compliance. Provide regular updates and recommendations to management on credit trends, refinancing opportunities, and emerging sector risks.
• Market & Sector Intelligence: Stay abreast of aviation market developments, aircraft valuation trends, and regulatory changes. Provide insights to management on competitive dynamics, aircraft liquidity, and opportunities in secondary markets.
• Collaboration & Cross-Selling: Work closely with other business units (including corporate banking, treasury, and capital markets) to deliver integrated financing solutions and enhance overall client value.

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in aviation finance, structured asset finance, or transportation lending within a bank or leasing platform.
• Proven track record in originating and executing aviation or other asset-backed transactions.
• Deep understanding of aircraft financing structures, residual value risk, and credit analysis.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and clients.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; CFA or MBA preferred.
