Large Financial institution is seeking a Big Data Solution Architect to design and lead the implementation of our cloud-native data platform on Microsoft Azure. You will architect scalable, secure data solutions that enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end data architectures on Azure for ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption.
• Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the enterprise data platform and lakehouse.
• Build and optimize efficient, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Implement and manage modern data warehousing solutions with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance using Azure Purview and RBAC.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance and Azure resource costs.
• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate new Azure data services to drive innovation and capability.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions, with at least 3 years focused specifically on the Microsoft Azure data stack.
• Proven expertise with core Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2), and Azure SQL Database.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and programming languages essential for data engineering, such as SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Demonstrable experience in implementing data security, governance, and compliance measures within Azure, preferably using Azure Purview.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
