Purpose: Project management of transition airplanes (return, repossessions, AOG, acquisition, sale and part out) and technical support to the DAE Sales and Trading teams for the re-lease, extension, purchase or sale of aircraft.

Key Result Areas:

• Management of transition aircraft (Lessee to Lessee, Repossession, AOG to Lessee, Sale, Purchase, Part Out).
• Liaise with other internal departments regarding technical queries and/or clarifications.
• Initiate, update and monitor applicable Aircraft redelivery obligations and commitments.
• Visit lessees and potential lessees as required supporting placement and delivery activities.
• Manage all technical aspects of LOI reviews.
• Provide technical input for commercial analysis and "Approval Memos".
• Support lease, sale and purchase negotiations with lessees, buyers and sellers; and provide technical input for the lease, sale or purchase agreement.
• Direct transition process and personnel to include identification and assessment of problem areas and development / implementation of appropriate solutions, as required.
• Direct on-site transition teams remotely to assure accurate project handling and time management.
• Manage and enforce Lessee's contractual obligations to ensure compliance with Lease return and delivery conditions.
• Negotiate Lessee Return Compensation amounts, if applicable.
• Manage, negotiate and execute maintenance, flight services, personnel and operational agreements as required to support the transition process.
• Communicate and coordinate the transition activities between outgoing and incoming Lessee's, regulatory authorities, company personnel and necessary vendors / maintenance organizations.
• Assess potential delivery commitments and advise of problemareas which will require additional action or financial expenditure.
• Maintain accurate project accounting to include tracking ofcurrent expenditures and projected costs which will / may beincurred.
• Audit and approval of vendor / contractor invoices and accuratefinancial allocation of such costs.
• Ensure the aircraft are in compliance with the negotiated deliveryconditions and DAE board approval.
• Review and approval of the maintenance workscopes determiningeligibility to qualify to maintenance reserves drawdown.
• Review and approval of Lessee maintenance reserve claims, asrequired.
• Manage or perform surveillance of aircraft in the DAE fleet underyour management, in an effective and efficient manner.
• Supervise the remote activities related to the surveillance ofaircraft.
• Cross-functional interaction with customers, repair stations, andcompany personnel as appropriate.
• Monitoring/tracking of costs (at all times) with regard tosurveillance activity that is being incurred under yourmanagement.
• Other duties as directed by yoyr manager and required from time to time.

Skills & Experience required:

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in managing aircraft check, repair and reconfiguration programs.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license (or equivalent) or Engineering Degree.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft lease agreements, delivery, maintenance in the term, maintenance cost issues, redelivery obligations.
• Conversant with FAA and EASA maintenance, operational regulatory requirements and Certification / Registration issues.
• In depth understanding of aircraft maintenance schedules, OEM/Vendor SB requirements.
• Experience in interpreting, negotiating and drafting contract language.
