Salary: $3,500 – $5,000 per month

 

The Employer:

Join a new and exciting Japanese dining concept in the lively Boat Quay area. We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager who is passionate about hospitality and eager to lead a team in creating exceptional dining experiences. 

 

Our commitment to excellence extends to providing a comprehensive training program in Japan, offering our team leaders firsthand experience with authentic Japanese culinary and service techniques.

 

  • Work Schedule: 5 days per week with split shifts
  • Training: 1-2 weeks in Japan provided by the company

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal staffing levels.
    Interview, hire, and conduct comprehensive training for part-time and full-time staff, aiming to maintain high service standards
  • Lead staff training sessions to ensure team proficiency in restaurant protocols and customer service excellence.
  • Ensure a warm welcome and deliver excellent service, creating memorable experiences for our customers.
  • Serve food and beverages with an emphasis on promptness and quality of presentation.
  • Efficiently handle customer transactions and address inquiries regarding the menu, services, and promotions.
  • Participate in simple cooking tasks, with thorough training provided by management.
  • Oversee additional responsibilities such as ordering supplies, and managing the serving, clearing, and setting of tables.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in F&B service, with preference for those who have held managerial or supervisory roles.
  • Approachable personality with a friendly demeanor and a strong willingness to learn and advance within the company.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English.
  • Previous experience in restaurant management (e.g., shift management, floor management, inventory management) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff management, including aspects of training and scheduling.
