Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Regulation: Ensure the company's business activities comply with the regulations of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other relevant regulatory bodies, track legal and regulatory changes, and provide timely compliance advice.
Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including technology cooperation agreements, supplier contracts, customer agreements, and partnership agreements.
Product Support: Provide legal risk assessments and support for the development and improvement of new products, ensuring that product design and operation comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Corporate Governance: Assist in handling corporate governance matters, including board support, coordination of company secretarial work, and internal policy formulation.
Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks, and develop and implement corresponding risk control measures.
Dispute Resolution: Manage litigation and non-litigation dispute resolution matters, and effectively collaborate with external lawyers.
Legal Training: Provide legal knowledge training to business departments to enhance the team's legal awareness and risk prevention capabilities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Laws or above, holding a Singapore bar license.
5+ years of work experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, with priority given to candidates with legal experience in the financial services, fintech, or technology industries.
Familiar with Singapore's financial services laws and regulations, especially the Payment Services Act. Requirements of the Act:
Prove exceptional legal analysis, drafting, and negotiation skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities, capable of providing practical and feasible legal advice
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while also demonstrating strong teamwork skills
