Principal Analyst/Senior Analyst

NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT AGENCY
You will work in Environmental Health Institute, and be a member in the Environmental Epidemiology & Toxicology Division. You will design and conduct research at the intersection of computational methods and environmental public health. Key areas of focus include developing computational tools to forecast risk of infectious diseases, especially vector borne diseases, formulating mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models to understand epidemiology and disease ecology, assessing the impact of environmental changes, such as climate change, and evaluating cost-effectiveness of public health interventions.
Your work will enhance our understanding of environmental epidemiology, guide the development of public health interventions, and inform operations, resource planning, and policy. Requirements:
• \tMinimum Bachelor's Level Degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g. statistics, applied mathematics, computational biology, ecology and evolution, or data science.
• \tAttainment of a record of high-quality scientific research, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, will be an advantage.
• \tExcellent knowledge of study design, statistical and mathematical modelling, and data visualisation principles.
• \tProficiency in scientific coding and use of statistical software, e.g. R, or Python.
• \tHigh capacity for systems thinking and creativity, and inclination for trans-disciplinary science.
• \tExcellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and communications (written and oral) skills.
• \tAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities concurrently
• \tSelf-driven and open to development opportunities
