ANALYST/ ASSOCIATE MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
CHANGI AIRPORT CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD.
Changi Airports International is looking for energetic and resilient young professionals to join our International Projects team. As an Analyst/Associate Manager, you will play a key role in delivering consultancy services to airports worldwide, gaining exposure across multiple functional areas including airport operations and commercial development. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are eager to take on diverse responsibilities and to grow across multiple facets of airport management and development. This role requires a hands-on, "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, as you will be expected to navigate through challenges and ambiguity to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct macroeconomic research and data-driven traffic forecasts to support airport investment evaluations and consulting services. You will contribute to projects ranging from passenger forecasts for CAI assets to optimal commercial rent pricing and business case analysis for external clients.
Assist in analyzing operational processes and passenger touchpoints to help client airports identify gaps and opportunities for improving efficiency, service standards, and cost-effectiveness. Support the planning and management of airport terminals, airside operations, Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) and other operational areas.
Assist in developing aeronautical revenue streams for airports which include increasing flights, passenger traffic, and cargo volumes through traffic development initiatives, and optimizing aeronautical tariffs to enhance competitiveness and commercial viability.
Support the development of commercial programmes for non-aeronautical activities. This includes terminal concessions such as duty-free, travel retail, advertising, F&B, and passenger services, as well as auxiliary activities like ground handling, cargo handling, catering, refueling and general aviation. Assist in commercial revenue forecasting, retail layout design, drafting lease documents, and coordinating stakeholder engagement including tenants, airlines, and regulatory bodies. Oversee fit-out, housekeeping, and operational readiness of retail spaces.
From initial projections to full project execution, you will work with cross-functional teams (Traffic Development, Non-Aero Commercial, Operations, Engineering) to bring projects to successful completion, often in overseas settings.
Assist Project Directors in coordinating project timelines, deliverables, and resources, ensuring smooth execution and alignment across teams. This includes tracking progress, preparing documentation, and supporting internal and external communications.
Expect to rotate across different projects and functional areas, including Traffic Development, Non-Aeronautical Commercial, and Airport Operations. This will provide valuable exposure and help develop you into a well-rounded airport professional.
Work closely with Project Directors to develop high-quality presentation materials and support the communication of complex economic or technical concepts in a clear and structured manner. Strong written and visual communication skills are essential, as you will help translate analytical findings into accessible content for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- At least a 2nd Upper Hons Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative subjects.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using R, Python, or other open-source statistical programming languages with various datasets and experience with core statistical and machine learning packages preferred.
- Familiarity with tools across the data value chain from SQL to Jupyter and Power BI/Tableau. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and think-cell for data visualization and reporting.
- High-quality PowerPoint designer and Excel modeler, with strong numeracy skills and a flair for interpreting and presenting quantitative insights in a visually compelling manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for learning and contributing to impactful projects, with the energy to thrive in a fast-moving, challenging environment.
- The ability to get involved at all stages of the project, from analysis to implementation, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- The role involves working through challenges, ambiguity, and unforeseen issues, requiring individuals who can adapt quickly and problem-solve on the go.
- Projects often involve travel and working in diverse cultural and operational contexts, so a flexible mindset and openness to travel and working overseas are necessary.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply if they meet the required academic qualifications and show potential to excel in a dynamic, multidisciplinary and fast-paced role.
