We are seeking someone to join us as an Associate in Country Risk (Asia).

In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyze and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you'll do in the role:

- Analysis of macroeconomic, political and geopolitical developments across Asia and translation of developments into risk management actions, as appropriate

- Analysis of the Morgan Stanley portfolio at country level with a particular focus on interconnectivity across credit, market and liquidity risk

- Working with colleagues across risk stripes and business units to understand the impact of business initiatives on the Firm's risk profile and to ensure the risk is appropriately measured and managed

- Establishing, communicating and managing risk appetite at country level across the various Country Risk frameworks

What you'll bring to the role:

- Min. 5 years of relevant experience

- Solid understanding of Asia markets and macroeconomics, with particular focus on China

- Understanding of financial product such as FX, Rates and Equity swaps

- Interest in and ability to work with large data sets, for example using SQL

- Team player with strong organizational skills

- Strong communication skills including ability to present to senior stakeholders

- Curiosity and interest in subject matter

- Proactivity and ability to solve problems
