  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python (including pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, backtrader)
  • Experience in building systematic trading strategies, either independently or as part of a team
  • Background in quantitative model design, including factor-based, momentum, or machine learning-based approaches
  • Familiarity with backtesting and performance analysis of investment strategies
  • Solid understanding of risk metrics such as VaR, Sharpe ratio, drawdown, etc.
  • Strong interest and hands-on involvement in automated trading and portfolio construction
  • Demonstrated ability to improve workflows via coding, including tool development and process automation
  • Knowledge of trading front-end systems and protocols (e.g., FIX, IBKR, MT4)
  • Motivation to lead teams or take on project management responsibilities
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and persistence
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and portfolio reporting tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet)

Preferred Attributes

We are especially interested in individuals who:
  • Are self-driven, intellectually curious, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Are receptive to feedback and proactively seek improvement
  • Maintain a positive and adaptable attitude even in high-pressure situations
  • Enjoy leveraging technology to improve processes and client experience
  • Thrive in a team setting with startup-like energy but institutional discipline

Team & Culture

  • Work closely alongside a Relationship manager / senior Portfolio Manager with deep industry experience
  • Small, agile team with flat hierarchy-each member has significant autonomy and responsibility
  • A rare combination of startup freedom and institutional-grade professionalism

Work Hours

  • Core hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (SGT)
  • Evening or weekend work would be required due to business demands
