The Financial Analyst will be pivotal in enhancing the financial framework at Ranpak APAC by integrating key metrics into all financial analyses. This role will focus on forecasting financial performance, analyzing monthly variances, and providing actionable financial insights to support data-driven decision-making.

The Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
- Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
- Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
- Develop and maintenance of forecast templates for Country Sales Leads' update and measuring forecast accuracy
- Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver a robust annual budget
- Preparation of Net Sales report for each region and APAC consolidated results versus budget for performance measurement.
- Margin analysis by products, by regions, and by salespersons.
- Conduct budget and forecast activities, including paper and machines forecasts, with a focus on sustainability impacts.
- Perform financial and variance analyses of actuals versus budget, forecast accuracy, sales per salesperson, etc .
- Maintain SAP in specific modules and ensure accurate month-end activities.
- Continuously enhance financial processes, including accrual processes for rebates.
- Engage in projects related to sustainability and support the annual budget and forecast preparation.
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Generate timely and comprehensive financial reports.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting or related qualification
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role and exposure to manufacturing costing will be an added advantage
- CFA qualification will be a plus
- Proven ability to interact effectively with management across diverse organizational levels and cultures
- Demonstrated analytical skills and commercial insight
- Strong independent problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
- Experience with multi-dimensional databases required; familiarity with Hyperion is a plus
- Detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of SAP, Excel, PowerPoint
- Self-starter with strong communication skills
