Application Support Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

Special Considerations:
- Provide tier-2/3 support for production applications; diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
- Coordinate testing and deployment of system changes.
- Create and maintain scripts for reporting and automate manual tasks.
- Enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively detect issues.
- Define and track SLAs; optimize application and infrastructure performance.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security teams, and vendors to improve system architecture.
- Document runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
Position Specifications:
- 3+ years experience in SRE or application support within financial institutions.
- Knowledge of securities/derivative back-office and equities products beneficial.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.
- Hands-on scripting skills (Powershell, Windows batch, Python, Bash).
- Experience with Microsoft .Net C# applications and Microsoft SQL Server (including stored procedures).
- Understanding of security best practices in application reliability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
- ITIL certification preferred.
Special Considerations:
- Experience in financial industry with knowledge of securities and futures brokering processes.
