- Cash and Liquidity Management
- Monitor daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts and regions.
- Forecast short-term and long-term cash flows, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
- Optimize the working capital cycle by streamlining processes and utilizing digital tools.
- Banking and Funding
- Negotiate and manage relationships with local and international banks.
- Evaluate and secure cost-effective funding solutions, including trade finance and borrowing base facilities.
- Prepare and present detailed analyses of banking transactions and performance to management and banking partners.
Risk Management:
- Identify, measure, and manage financial risks, including FX, interest rate, and commodity price exposures.
- Implement and monitor hedging strategies for exchange-traded and non-exchange-traded commodities.
- Support compliance with internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Market Analysis
- Track and analyze global commodity markets, macroeconomic trends, and geopolitical developments affecting agri-commodities.
- Provide actionable market intelligence to trading and procurement teams.
- Prepare regular reports on market movements, price trends, and risk factors.
- Process Improvement and Technology Adoption
- Drive digitization of treasury and trade processes, including integration with ERP, TMS, and DLT/blockchain platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement new systems for real-time cash flow tracking and data enrichment.
- Identify and deploy innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Internal Collaboration
- Act as an internal financial advisor to business units, providing insights on funding, risk, and market conditions.
- Support cross-functional teams in structuring deals, managing contracts, and optimizing supply chain finance.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP/TMS systems, and financial modeling.
- Understanding of commodity markets, FX, and risk management tools.
- Ability to innovate and adapt to new technologies and digital platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; empathy and collaboration are highly valued.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge in Python so lot of workflows can be automated.
- Experience in treasury, market analysis, or financial risk management, preferably in commodities or agri-business.
- Knowledge of digital transformation in finance (e.g., blockchain, ERP/TMS integration) is an advantage.
