Objectives of the Position
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role includes enhancing reporting processes, providing strategic financial leadership, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and Group standards.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
- At least 10 years of progressive finance and controlling experience
- Experienced in working in a shared service and a highly matrix environment.
- Strong knowledge of local statutory and tax regulations; exposure to corporate secretarial duties is an advantage.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and accountability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive leader with a hands-on approach and continuous improvement mindset.
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role includes enhancing reporting processes, providing strategic financial leadership, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and Group standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Operational Controlling
- Be fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Lead and enhance monthly reporting and performance monitoring processes and tools.
- Define the data and controlling concepts necessary to interpret business performance in alignment with business strategies and submit timely analysis and recommendations to support business steering.
- Define the annual budget in alignment with business strategies and development; manage the data collection process to ensure accurate budget preparation.
- Support projects and initiatives related to business steering concepts and tools at the global, regional, and local levels.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Oversee tax filings and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Oversea cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and banking relationships to support operational liquidity
- Organize and document Board and Shareholders' meetings, and maintain statutory registers and filings
2. Strategic Business & Capital Support
- Provide financial controlling leadership and strategic advice to the Country Mangaging Director and Southeast Asia stakeholders.
- Deliver financial insights and recommendations on resource allocation, investment decisions, and operational efficiency.
- Define and monitor KPIs for capital usage, including fixed assets and working capital.
- Enhance cash flow forecasting and capital planning processes.
3. Financial Advisory, Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Development
- Provide technical financial and controlling advice and knowledge to the team members within the financial and controlling discipline, including continual improvement of the forecasting and budgeting process through education of the relevant managers on financial issues impacting their budgets.
- Develop, implement, and enforce controlling policies, procedures, and systems to enhance data quality, streamline business decision-making, and align with organizational goals.
- Support talent development and succession planning initiatives within the finance team, fostering a culture of growth, leadership, and collaboration.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to Company financial, legal, and ethical compliance frameworks.
- Lead internal and external audit preparations and implement follow-up actions.
- Maintain robust risk mitigation practices and foster a culture of compliance across finance operations.
