Roles and Responsibilities:
• Conduct QA and DA and implement expansion/ improvements of the review programs (either via the early warning data analytics detection review results / audit findings/ advice from Group Compliance Center of Excellence), work with stakeholders on action plan to close the gaps and issue resolution tracking.
• Perform assessment of the AML/CFT controls for design effectiveness and operating effectiveness
• Update / manage FCC internal policy and procedures.
• Impact Paper Assessment - New / Revised Regulation / Consultation Papers/ Updates to Policies (AML, Sanctions, ACB Policies from Group Compliance). This include updating the relevant controls vs requirements (in portal or other format) as directed by Regulatory Compliance team.
• Support AML on-boarding and refresher training for relevant stakeholders.
• Handle all AML due diligence questionnaires or certifications as per request.
• Support new product (PORA) assessment for AML & ACB related controls
• Manage and review ACB related control processes, which includes conduct yearly ACB risk assessment, prepare monthly certification to Group Compliance, conduct quarterly ACB Quality Assurance, review and clearance for ACB staff declarations, provide ACB related advisories.
• Supporting adhoc requests from various parties, such as requests/surveys from regulators, internal and external audit onsite reviews.
• Support vendor engagement assessment for AML & ACB related controls
• Perform outsourcing management and review for FCC team.
• Manage the BCM plan for FCC and ensure the dependencies with other departments are kept updated
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Degree in Finance / Business / Information Technology or any related field.
- With at least 3 to 5 years of direct working experience in financial industry (preferably from the insurance or banking or Big 4).
- Solid experience in providing support to financial crime compliance / AML function and projects.
- Strong domain knowledge and understanding of the AML/CTF regulatory requirements (such as MAS Notice 314), AML/CFT control processes and various sanctions rules (such as those from UNSC, OFAC, EU, HKMA).
- Strong knowledge and experience in conducting assurance and uses of data analytics or automation tools (such as RPA, SQL, Excel) to support the financial crime compliance /AML function.
- Team player, meticulous and attention to details, able to multitask and take on high volume of workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess relevant certifications pertaining to AML (such as ACAMS, ICA Certification in AML).
- Familiar with / hands-on experience in using AML System, such as Nice Actimize would be an added advantage.
- Diligence in delivering quality works and strong commitment to meeting timeline
