About Our Client

Our client is a major player in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector with a strong commitment to innovation and excellence. They have embarked on their international expansion plans and have selected Singapore to set up a secondary headquarter in Singapore responsible for growth and emerging markets globally. They are now looking for a Financial Controller as part of the pioneering management team in Singapore.

Job Description

Financial Operations & Management

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, taxation and treasury management
• Lead the setup of legal entities, bank accounts, and financial infrastructure in various jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement financial policies, processes, and internal controls that align with global best practices.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Contribute to the formulation and execution of financial strategies to align with global objectives.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring effective monitoring and resolution of deviations.

Financial Risk Control & Compliance

• Establish and enhance financial risk management frameworks, conducting regular assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Oversee financial compliance to ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations and standards.

Financial Support for Business Expansion

• Conduct financial due diligence and feasibility analysis for new business initiatives and investment projects.
• Support business negotiations, ensuring transaction terms are optimized from a financial perspective.
• Assist in developing financing strategies, diversifying funding sources, and managing financing costs.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and support for professional growth
• Foster a collaborative work environment to enhance team performance and efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA will be of advantage. Candidates with TMT / Manufacturing industry experience in big 4 will be highly desired. You come with strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders located in different countries will be critical. Fluency in Mandarin will be required to work with stakeholders located in China HQ. You are a self-starter, motivated to grow and with hands-on in a set-up role.
