About the role

We are seeking a Head of Cost Control to join the team at The American Club. The Head of Cost Control is responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of the club's costs, ensuring financial efficiency and optimal resource utilization.

Responsibilities

Cost Control & Analysis
  • Implement cost control systems and categories for each outlet.
  • Monitor and align cost activities with budget parameters.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Develop policies to enhance financial performance.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure cost guideline adherence.
  • Work with Food & Beverage and Retail on inventory and cost matters.
  • Evaluate recipes, determine costs, and recommend control measures.
  • Achieve budget goals by analyzing expenditures and initiating corrective actions.

Inventory & Procurement
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to reduce waste.
  • Ensure accurate stock tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits and monthly stock takes.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory processes.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier contracts for cost optimization.

Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare cost reports for financial transparency.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting with the Finance Director.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations.
  • Assist with month-end closing and data reconciliation.
  • Compile menu costing for new offerings.
  • Prepare month-end cost journals for food, beverage, and retail.
  • Perform additional duties to support business objectives.
