Job Purpose

Ops COO - NRU unit is the nostro reconciliation hub for DBS group. The unit has two functions:- Nostro account reconciliation & the Business Management Support (BMS) that manages static data, feeds processes and production of daily MIS. The main focus for this role is to perform the day-to-day reconciliations activities and conduct first level investigation on nostro breaks.

Responsibilities

• To have understanding on Nostro reconciliation processes and principles
• Perform Nostro reconciliations/investigations and ensure daily Service level Agreements are duly met
• Attend to BAU escalation and Nostro reconciliation enquiries, ensuring breaks
• resolution within reasonable timelines independently.
• To engage stakeholders pro-actively on Nostro reconciliation matters and provide support whenever required.
• Enhance Nostro reconciliation automation via close collaboration with stakeholders to create auto-matching rules
• Perform data analytics on internal and external data to derive actionable insights for process improvements and BAU issues resolution
• Performs the monthly General Ledger Attestation (GLAO) ownership process.
• Handling of ad hoc tasks when required

Requirements

• Min 3 years of relevant working experience in Banking Operations with experience in nostro reconciliation or banking operations, using SmartStream TLM system or other reconciliation systems will be highly beneficial.
• Ability to collect and analyse data and make recommendations.
• Able to independently engage Support & Business Units on reconciliation matters as well as to escalate and articulate issues and proposed resolutions.
• Essential that written, spoken and listening skills are very strong. Demonstrate effective presentation skills, comfortable with audience of senior level professionals.
