JOB DESCRIPTION

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Business Finance Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for generating insights to the mid-funnel ads business that will help enable both proactive actions that will elevate business generation, as well as reactive analyses that will aid performance improvement.

Qualifications

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop technical aptitude to supercharge the investigative capabilities of the team.
  • Conduct extensive analyses using sophisticated techniques and tools (e.g., R, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
  • Forecast business performance quarters and years into the future to provide foresight into areas ready for further investment.
  • Create/maintain a regular reporting cadence to surface insights into the ups and downs of our mid-funnel ads businesses.
  • Own and manage the related business performance problem solving agenda.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in analytics, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experienced working with SQL.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of advertisers marketing objectives.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage ambiguity, and self-direct work in an unstructured environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft and deliver a message with credibility to influence executive leadership.
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
