Your Position

We can break the different responsibilities apart into a few main categories:

Analysis (30%)

• You will analyze, select and follow-up on investment portfolios and investment opportunities.
• Meet regularly with portfolio managers, service providers, investment managers and perform analysis on markets, opportunities, and macro-economic trends.
• Create tailor made asset allocations for client where you’ll consider both public traditional assets (equities and bonds) as well as alternative assets such as private equity, private debt, hedge funds, real estate, direct participations, …
• You will assist the team with ad hoc analysis for client: mapping of start-ups, top-down private equity market analysis, cost analysis, credit negotiations, real estate valuation, …

Research (30%)

• You will be responsible for in depth analysis and making research reports on all types of assets based on the current portfolio and potential new investments.
• Research of the overall financial markets, macro-economics, fiscal and legal news.
• You will be part of the investment comity and will present your research.

Administrative support (20%)

• Since we are a small and multidisciplinary team, you will also be given administrative tasks such as follow-up on the invoices, contracts, controls & compliance,  ...
• You will assist in the quarterly consolidated reporting how is the portfolio as a whole evolving, what different tactical strategies are each of our portfolio managers taking …
• Reporting of the overall financial markets, macro-economics, fiscal and legal news.
• Follow-up on the private equity investments of our clients how are they performing, which deals are they doing, benchmarking performance, follow-up of capital calls, distributions, NAV,

Projects (10%)

• You will explore new technological solutions to automize or optimize our way of working.

Education – Self-development (10%)

• You will have company time available to grow your personal financial skills . The company will support you with additional financial certifications. 

Your Profile

What are “must have” skills or experience in this role?

• Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial and analytical mindset and an eye for detail is more important than experience.
• independent thinker – speak your mind
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field within economics, finance, fiscality or business with a distinctive track record.
• Excellent language and communication skills in English.
• An affinity and passion for the financial markets: asset allocation, equity research, macroeconomics, …
• Tech savvy with great Excel and PowerPoint skills and always on the lookout for new technological developments.
• Ability to work independently,  self-motivated,

Which skills and experience do we consider as an asset to get you even faster up to speed in this role?

• Any knowledge of the alternative financial space like private equity, hedge funds, direct participations, …
• You started or are willing to start the CFA, CAIA, CQF or FRM
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages like Python, Matlab, VBA, …
• Experience with financial data platforms  is an asset not a requirement
• 0-3 years of experience in the financial industry or a consulting environment
