Role Description

Lico Resources is partnering a reputable international private equity firm, seeking an experienced Investment Manager with 8-12 years of relevant experience to support the full investment lifecycle for infrastructure and real asset opportunities. This role offers exposure to complex, high-value transactions-covering assessment, structuring, negotiations, approvals, and deal completion-while working alongside senior stakeholders and external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive evaluation of potential investments by assessing commercial viability, strategic fit, and risk-return profile.
  • Lead key execution workstreams across transactions, coordinating internal teams and external advisers through to completion.
  • Prepare high-quality investment papers and presentations for management and investment committees.
  • Oversee due diligence across financial, legal, technical, and regulatory areas, ensuring findings translate into clear decision points.
  • Guide transaction structuring, including review of equity and debt arrangements, key terms, and value drivers.
  • Manage financial analysis and model review, validating assumptions and running sensitivity and scenario testing.
  • Support negotiation of major project and financing documents, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and protections.
  • Engage confidently with sponsors, lenders, developers, consultants, and government-linked stakeholders when required.
  • Track and manage transaction risks, proposing mitigants and ensuring issues are resolved without delaying timelines.
  • Contribute to portfolio and governance-related discussions post-investment, including performance monitoring and stakeholder reporting.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8-12 years of experience in infrastructure investing, project finance, PPP/IPP transactions, investment banking (relevant coverage), or similar.
  • Demonstrated involvement in executing transactions with exposure to both financing and equity investment considerations.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to balance detail and pragmatism in complex deal environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present clearly to senior decision-makers.

Advantageous
  • MBA or Master's qualification.
  • Experience working on cross-border projects and/or with development finance institutions.
  • Additional regional language skills.
