General description
As part of the Client Coverage & Advisory Greater China team in Singapore, the Global Products & Solutions (GPS) Associate Investment Advisor (IA) Greater China (GC) will embark on a dynamic 18-24-month on the job training combining rotational assignments, training with challenging projects and responsibilities. Through hands-on experience and under the line manager's guidance, the GPS Associate IA GC will develop the skills, network, and business acumen necessary to fully transition into an Investment Advisor.
It is expected the GPS Associate IA - GC will rotate through 2-3 teams within GPS, gaining broad exposure to different asset classes, portfolio construction approaches, and investment strategies. The individual will have the opportunity to work directly alongside seasoned specialists and subject-matter experts, contributing to day-to-day business activities particularly in Client Coverage & Advisory team - Greater China team.

Client management (internal & external)
- Prepare client investment proposals and tailor portfolio and investment recommendations
- Support in client and prospect pitches (e.g. presentation materials, investment insights, market opportunities)
- Develop and assess innovative investment ideas aligned to clients' investment objectives, needs, and risk profile
- Assist in preparing regular portfolio reviews and analysis
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure smooth execution of business operations
Business management
- Support the team's strategic objectives and operational goals, driving business outcomes and results
- Identify opportunities to enhance functional efficiency and productivity, proposing process improvements and workflow optimisations, where relevant/appropriate
Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management
- Meet all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements
- Adhere to the standards and expectations outlined in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
- Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including, but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest,competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

- 2-3 years of professional experience (including internships)
- Relevant higher educational and professional background (Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline)
- Good command of financial analytical skills and a broad understanding of the financial markets and products
- Strong command of verbal and written communication skills
- High proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage as the role is required to work with and support Mandarin-speaking clients where the main language used in written and verbal communication is expected to be Mandarin
