Senior / Quote Analyst

SANMINA-SCI SYSTEMS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Senior Quote Analyst to serve as the strategic leader for our quoting and estimating operations in Singapore. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role for a proven problem-solver who can translate complex technical data into profitable business decisions.
More than just managing RFQs, you will be the central hub of pricing intelligence for the entire PCB organization. You will lead the development of sophisticated pricing models, drive consensus between Sales, Engineering, and Operations, and clearly communicate pricing strategy to executive leadership.
The ideal candidate thrives on solving complex challenges, using their deep analytical skills to dissect win/loss data, market trends, and manufacturing costs. You will be an influential leader, capable of resolving conflicts, optimizing processes, and articulating the "why" behind every critical pricing decision to ensure we meet our strategic goals for market share and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytical & Strategic Leadership
• Go beyond simple cost-plus; design and implement sophisticated pricing models based on deep analysis of market trends, competitor positioning, factory load, and technology value.
• Lead the rigorous analysis of win/loss data to identify systemic pricing gaps or opportunities. You will be expected to present these findings and recommend actionable strategies to leadership.
• Build and maintain complex cost and margin models, accurately forecasting the financial impact of shifts in material costs, labor, and new technology introductions.
• Act as the final point of escalation for complex pricing challenges, resolving conflicts between customer expectations and manufacturing realities.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as the primary pricing leader, building consensus and aligning strategic priorities between Sales (driving growth), Engineering (ensuring capability), and Operations (managing capacity).
• Transform pricing/estimating team from a data-entry function into a highly analytical and strategic asset. Set and monitor KPIs focused on both quote accuracy and strategic effectiveness.
• Proactively identify and solve bottlenecks in the RFQ workflow. Lead initiatives to improve data flow, standardize inputs, and leverage quoting software for greater speed and intelligence.
Communication & Problem Solving
• Clearly communicate and defend pricing logic, margin targets, and strategic recommendations to executive-level stakeholders, sales teams, and key customers.
• Act as the key translator between highly technical customer data (Gerbers, BOMs) and the commercial/financial implications for the business.
• Serve as the key analytical partner for the Sales team during high-stakes negotiations, providing the data and strategic rationale needed to win business without sacrificing margin.
• Expertly analyze incomplete or ambiguous customer data packages, identifying critical missing information and leading the effort with Engineering to resolve technical queries before a quote is finalized.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Core Competencies
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial and market analysis, build predictive models, and turn raw data into actionable business intelligence.
• A track record of successfully influencing teams and leaders outside of your direct reporting line. Must be adept at building consensus and driving projects to completion.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills. Must be confident presenting complex data and defending strategic positions to senior management.
• A natural "systems thinker" who can diagnose the root cause of workflow problems or pricing failures and design effective, scalable solutions.
Technical & Business Expertise
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a pricing role, with a preferred 3 years experience in the PCB industry.
• Preferred understanding of PCB fabrication processes and materials and the ability to read and interpret complex Gerber/ODB++ files and fabrication drawings.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables) and experience with ERP/quoting software.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field. (Equivalent deep industry experience will be strongly considered).
