This is a 24-month long-term assignment of an employee from our Head Office in Zurich to Singapore Branch as part of knowledge transfer, skill development between the 2 locations and further enhance the professionalism of our Quant service within our overall trading department.

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Provide immediate support to the SG Trading team, ensuring efficient and consistent use of existing tools and systems. Design and implement quantitative tools and services to support our derivative trading desks (with an emphasis on FX and Fixed Income)
• Identify requirements for SG-specific quantitative developments and align and possibly eliminate ad hoc solutions
• Work on the implementation of derivative pricing models and their integration into our risk management systems
• Develop a self-sufficient quantitative analysis team in SG, reducing reliance on support from Headquarter Zurich, ensuring continuity and providing a technical intermediary between the trading and quant teams
• Contribute to global projects that span multiple teams and stakeholders
• Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Quantitative Finance)
• Strong knowledge of financial mathematics, probability theory and stochastic calculus
• Strong programming skills in at least one compiled language; good knowledge of Scala and the Java ecosystem would be a plus
• Relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably in a bank or hedge fund company
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
